OUR PARTICIPANT CENTERED APPROACH
CONVERTING IDEAS INTO ACTION

Organisational success demands continuous new thinking, talent and skills. Our dedicated Learning Innovation team focuses on linking programme content directly to global trends and organisational strategy. This ensures our programmes provide cutting-edge business practice in a collaborative environment.  We believe in building a “high trust, high quality and high impact” relationship with you in a holistic way, and prepare you to think and act strategically.

THE CASE METHOD
Our pioneering approach to executive learning is through the case method of teaching. A case study allows you to step into the shoes of a decision maker and immerse yourself in analyzing a real-life business challenge. The case method is participant-centered rather than instructor-centered, and helps create new knowledge through dialogue, debate, and the application of analytical tools and frameworks. Learning goes beyond the transfer of information to include the development of analytical, decision-making and communication skills. This enhances your capacity to prioritize objectives, lead effectively and have a lasting-impact on business performance.

HOW IT WORKS: A FOUR-STEP PROCESS

  1. Preparation: review case individually to identify key questions and reflection points
  2. Team Analysis: meet in small groups to debate key issues
  3. Class Discussion: participate in a comprehensive discussion to formulate viewpoints that are backed by articulate analysis and recommendations
  4. Reflection: apply learnings to your own content with an evolved mindset and a more comprehensive understanding due to peer and faculty insights

MULTIPLE TEACHING METHODOLOGIES
Learning is experiential and people learn in different ways. This is why we incorporate a variety of different teaching methods in our programmes. These include simulations, video cases, self-assessments, activity-based sessions, role-play exercises, peer group sessions and informal coaching and mentoring. These methodologies are integrated with our renowned case methodology to deliver a transformational experience so you return to the workplace powered with new solutions to your unique business challenges.

NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION
Throughout our programmes, you have the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with a diverse group of faculty, experts, and a distinguished peer group across management levels and industries. To ensure a rewarding learning experience, we carefully assemble each class to reflect a stimulating mix of experience, career interests, and management roles. After attending a programme and becoming an REDC Alumni, you gain access to people and resources at LUMS alongside a network of lasting connections with eminent peers.
